Making a difference.
One person, one family & one project at a time.

Since June 2021, GUIH has served the homeless people on the streets of Melbourne. We exist to provide those in need with a sense of hope, and to let them know that they are not alone during times of difficulty.

About Us

Who We Are

Our Chairman Alister Fuller’s main area of expertise has been dealing with homeless people in Melbourne CBD since 2017.

With this experience on hand, Alister gathered a few like-minded people working in the fields of Social Work, Community Development and with real-life experience, to find ways in serving this cohort of people who are Homeless sleeping it rough. This is how GUIH was born in June 2021.

Due to the pandemic, Alister had to stop feeding the homeless in CBD on Monday nights. Now that the pandemic is over GUIH volunteers have started reaching out to the people struggling in the streets of Melbourne CBD, Sunbury, Tarneit, Clayton South, Frankston and St Albans through outreach.

GUIH exists to give them hope and let them know that they are not alone during this difficult time. Our aim is to journey with this cohort of people in finding ways in bridging the gaps in services and getting them back to some stability in life.

I can do what you cannot do. Together we can do great things.

  • You can make a difference

Support those doing it tough and doing it rough in the cold out there through the GUIH Homeless 'Survival kits' campaign this winter with your donations - financial or material.
